FINALLY!!!!!
Well I got all my paperwork done for school, now the school is trying to fiqure out what grants if any I can qualify for. Its a long long long long road ahead but I am determined to do it. I will hopefull be practicing medicine in 6 years, yeah only 6 years, when you see it in writing it makes it seem like 12. Oh well, I am determined to have my own practice and quit making money for everybody else but ME!!!!!! So I am diving in with both feet, full time mom, student, employee, what in the world was I thinking. I think its safe to say I will be and have every right to be grouchy for a while!!!!!!!! don't ya think????
UPDATE ON THE JOB
Well the new job is going good, but its sooo faaarrr. I have way to much time to think. Everybody in the office is really nice. I wish it wasnt so far. Almost 60 miles one way. Thank goodness gas is going down. The office is really busy and that help the time go by. We see about 130 patients a day. Time will tell, right now it works and has to work until I can find something closer to home.

A JOB'S A JOB??!!
Well I went on my 2nd interview for the Bishops, they said they were pleased with the way things were going and asked if I could come in on Tues, to meet one more PA, and an MA, I said sure. Well from the time it took me to leave to get home they left a message and said they were going another direction. UUUUGGGGG!!!!!!!!! I spent that whole time or should I say wasted my time getting ready to look profesional (which means just getting dressed and taking my hair out of a bun) to try to impress somebody I dont even know. So after I got home and checked messages there was a message from the Dermatologists office in Scottsdale and they offered me a positon. I accepted and start work on Wednesday!!!! I am excited dont get me wrong I beat out 162 people, but still a little bummed I did not get the other job, it was a tad more money, and about 30 miles closer, but everything happens for a reason, I am just not quite sure of the reason this time. But oh well, 50 miles one way to work hopefully will not be that bad!!! I will keep you posted about my first day!!!! Wish me luck.

Ok do you ever have a day where nothing goes the way its suppose to. I am so tired of it. I am trying to get into school and its taking forever!!!! I also cannot find a job to save my life. I have applied to over 100 jobs since Sept. My husband and kids are tired of hearing me complain, so i am venting here. There is nothing worse than getting up at 5, getting kids ready for school, and then getting ready yourself for a job interview at 10:30 in north scottsdale, interview goes great so I am thinking maybe there is a chance, but then to be told," we will be in touch, but you seem perfect" If I am perfect for the job just give the stupid thing!!!!!! It pisses me off ( pardon my french) but if i said what i really wanted to i might get flagged. Anyway tomorrow is a differnt day, i hope i feel like my days are like that movie ground hog day. can you relate?????

Third times the charm?
For those of you who do not know, Scott just had his 3rd knee surgery since April of 07. He was hit by a drunk driver in 1997 and has had problems ever since. He just had his last surgery on Sept. 8 (I think) and 1.5 hours later and 32 staples he is in his room. Upon coming into his room he says to me, Hey Lisa look, he shows me his GUM!!! Before surgery he put his gum above his eye teeth, and to everyones amazement, he still had it. Anyone who has ever had surgery know that you usually get a breathing tube during surgery, and nobody ever noticed that he still had his gum. When the nurses were wheeling him to his room he started chewing his gum. The nurse told him not to chew his tongue, he would tear it up. He replied, "I am not chewing my tongue, I am chewing my gum" She about freaked when she realized he went through his whole surgery with gum. She said that this would make the history books for sure. Leave it to Scott!!!!
